![]() ![]() If nothing else, at least try to push the hardware. ![]() They don’t play well at all and are hideous to look at. ![]() To the game’s credit, those on-rails vehicle sections do feature some basic polygonal environments, which was rare for the time. The platforming mechanics are as non-existent as the storytelling. Outside of the odd tedious vehicle sequence, that’s it. Everything is just walking from left to right, bashing enemies like a nervous ten-year-old. Worse still, Anakin’s controls and animations are stiffer than C-3PO without an oil can. The gameplay is about as deep as Anakin Skywalker’s flirting technique. Many environments and enemies don’t even look like they belong in Star Wars. Despite attempting to be a detailed 2.5D brawler, it’s an absolute wreck from start to finish. Some of them are famously bad, yet none are quite so awful as Attack of the Clones for GBA. I even have a 'Razor Nostromo' tucked away in a cupboard, tried using it to simply things but never really got comfortable with it and thats what its all about, PC users are comfortable with the Keyboard & Mouse and will be reluctant to let it go, and with good reason in many cases. There are many questionable Star Wars games. What worries me is the amount of control combinations that would be required for the heavy 'UI' RTS & TBS games. I think your right, myself I have an Xbox360 (resisting getting xbox one) and I love the controller on FPS games, it even works well on games such as Halo Wars. I may be one of the few but for some reason I just like the controller, even though I may get owned if I'm playing competively.I'm thinging that Steams new game pad may be as precise and quick as the regular mouse control. I think the idea is to entice the console player to PC.Maybe another blogger can expand on this I've always liked PC gaming and having my own hardware.although I do own a PS3. However there are accusations going round that a lot of RTS games are being dumbed down to cater for this. It is designed to emulate the current keyboard and mouse and should be usable on all Steam games when it does arrive, which I think is later this year. Originally posted by General Dogsbody:Steam has a new controller under development which seems to be quite a piece of kit. ![]() But some developers, now or in the future will/may adapt the games UI to make it less complex with the controller in mind. (Later add on): As the Steam Controller fully emulates the mouse and keyboard, the game developer doesnt have to adapt the game in any way. As this was a General topic on using controllers, I just didn't want to start a fracus by naming names. I want to assure you that In no way did I mean to imply that MOWAS2 was being dumbed down to cater for the Steam Controller, but in the same breathe it is well known that a strong branded and used RTS gaming series 'UI' is being/or has been dumbed down, or so it seems. Only Instinct himself would be able to answer whether or not there will be controller support, but "IF" it were to happen, it likely would not be anytime Sorry if you misunderstood. Again, thats not to say there will not be controller support, but personally find that a game like this requires a keyboard and mouse. We are designing the game purely for PC / Keyboard users. I think the idea is to entice the console player to PC.Maybe another blogger can expand on this I want to assure you we are in no way "dumbing down" our game. However their are accusations going round that a lot of RTS games are being dumbed down to cater for this. ![]()
